I will never comprehend how people can abandon their pets as if they were garbage. I am truly an animal lover.
Of course, each situation is unique. Some people may have a strong bond with their animals but find it difficult to care for them. Nonetheless, this is not an excuse to abandon your pet in the middle of nowhere.
A unfortunate dog was abandoned in a church parking lot in Abilene, Texas, along with her nine newborn puppies.
The poor new canine mother, who just gave birth, and her nine puppies were abandoned without food or water. A picture of the 5-year-old boxer mix mother and her puppies was uploaded on social media. Soon generous people began to express interest in adopting the adorable family.
“Dumped at a church parking lot in Abilene. Every rescue is overflowing with people. Foster was required right away. Please. Situation developing.” the post stated.
When Paw Angel Animal Rescue observed what was happening, they realized they had to assist the kind mother and her young babies.
The sweet dog mother, later named Dory, needed vet attention immediately.
“We found lots of wounds on her that were open and draining.” explained Angel.
The vet discovered a tumor in one of her puppy’s throats and unfortunately he had to be put down.
Misty realized that the little pooches needed around the clock care so she decided to keep them in for two weeks.
“Mom and puppies are safe now. They will be staying with me for two weeks and then move to a permanent foster.”
“After being neutered and spayed, as well as having their mother spayed, they will be given up for adoption. In her appeal for money to support the furry family, Misty stated that the smaller baby would require more care and attention and that she may tube feed.”
The story of this brave canine mother and her pups was told on a Facebook page with the heading “From Dumped to Diva: Dory’s narrative.” The sweet mother now resembles a different dog than she did when she was abandoned.
The people that assist animals are truly heroes. We will always be grateful to them.
