Rudy the Pit Bull deserves a warm, soothing bath more than anyone. Last November, he arrived at a shelter in New York City after being discovered in appalling condition thrown in a plastic bucket.
He hardly had any fur. His skin was covered in deep burns, that most likely resulted from battery acid burns.
Because of a severely fractured front leg, he was also unable to walk. He has Cushings Disease, which went undiagnosed, adding to his already terrible situation.
The Northeast Chapter of Special Needs Animal Rescue Rehabilitation (SNARR) was contacted by the city shelter for assistance. Its director, Courtney Bellew, saved him.
Despite the fact that Courtney is accustomed to caring for seriously injured animals, witnessing Rudy devastated her. His front leg was in such horrible health. He declined to take pictures of it, she told the Huffington Post.
Rudy had emotional pain as well. The organization posted on Facebook, “It is a miracle this shattered youngster survived. Rudy was thankful and nothing but a lovebug from the moment we saved him, despite his extreme fear and skepticism of a nice human touch.
Rudy has found that taking medication baths has been a huge help.
They uploaded a video of Rudy taking one of his therapeutic spa baths, which are promoting the healing of his skin and fur.

He is fortunate that his foster parents are veterinarians since they can provide him with all the medical care he requires as he recovers.
Also, they have a lovely farm house in New England where his spirit can recover and he is surrounded by affection. His days are occupied by pals, including youngsters, canines, felines, and farm animals like Harold the lamb.
Rudy has a way of instantly catching your heart when he looks at you. “Rudy’s eyes are full with love and optimism.” she said. He always valued attention and continues to do so, as seen by his spa visits. ,,I’m simply so happy that we can give him a decent life to model after.”
They kept demonstrating to him what a good life was till his departure. An addendum to the original tale above informs me that Rudy lost away in the intervening years as a result of complications from his spinal condition.
Rudy was well treated by SNARR and his foster family before he passed away. Rudy was fortunate to spend his final months surrounded by love, and I’m grateful for that.
On their Facebook page, SNARR posts updates on their fantastic rescue efforts.
Feel free to tell your family and friends about Rudy’s tale to honor this courageous and affectionate dog!
