Francis was on the side of the road in a cardboard box. They believed he had passed away when this miracle occurred.
Several people in their neighborhood noticed a cardboard box by the side of the road close to a dumpster on a chilly Winter night. They made the decision to investigate the odd box. They soon discovered a puppy inside. Although he wasn’t actually lifeless, he appeared to be. Here is Francis tale frequently. They discovered Francis cold, eerily still and presumed lifeless. Fortunately, the couple observed that it looked like the dog was breathing.
They brought him to Community Animal Rescue & Adoption, Inc. (CARA), a no-kill animal rescue that may be located in Jackson, Mississippi. The pup was in a deep coma while still alive, it was proven by a trip to the veterinarian.
He wasn’t responding, but the staff at CARA did everything they could to revive him. They kept him comfortable and warm. A ceremony was thrown in his honor on Valentine’s Day.
When he awoke, he went home with several of the great CARA employees to advocate for round-the-clock care. For two months, he had a feeding tube, and getting to his feet was challenging. Yet after receiving physiotherapy from a skilled person, he quickly progressed from opening his eyes and lifting his head to standing alone.Harriet Scott, his owner, says:
“We had the good fortune to be selected to adopt this wonderful canine who had become such a celebrity. But to us, he’s just Francis, a sweet, loving dog with lots of energy who enjoys playing outside, taking naps on the couch, and leading the life we may wish for all stray animals.
Without him, our family would not be complete. He has a great love for others because it was their love that saved him.”
