She was discovered residing at a rural service station. Georgia, a petite shepherd mix, is at the veterinarian this afternoon for a thorough examination. Puppies will arrive in about a month! Georgia is learning to appreciate a backyard. Georgia could not wait to enter her whelping pool on the fifteenth day. She is not due for about two more weeks.
Georgia went into premature labor on day 25, and her kittens are too small to latch. They lack fur and I can barely determine their gender due to their extremely premature birth. She has had two puppies to date, and both have died. Georgia was hurried to the hospital for an emergency C-section and spay.
After delivering the first two puppies, who died immediately after birth, her labor stalled for approximately three hours. On the way to the veterinarian, Georgia was transporting her third infant. She had two stillborn puppies that were not viable, and they died. Her premature labor eliminated any hope of survival for her unborn children.
Physically, Georgia is recuperating well on day 26. She is still seeking for her children in her mind. We adopted three motherless newborn kittens for Georgia on day 27. She enjoys them. We have been able to breastfeed one of the three until the other two learn how to hold on. Day 29 features Georgia and cats. Two of the three infants are flourishing and taking the bottle well.
Neither is able to successfully suckle on to their mother’s milk. Unfortunately, the third infant passed away. There was a minor amount of blood near the infant’s rear end, but it is unknown whether this contributed to their demise. Georgia is incredibly devoted to her two apparently healthy infants and is doing exceptionally well.
God bless this small family! 32nd day: Georgia chooses names for her babies: the dark grey one is Graffiti, the tan one is Gumball, and the orange one is Goober. They have all opened their eyes, are gaining weight (each now weighs 7 to 8 ounces), and appear to be quite content with their mother. Day 37 features Georgia and cats. She takes scrubbing the infants extremely seriously! Good mother.
Her new father visited Georgia/Milo and brought her an adorable new collar. 39th day: The cutest thing ever! Day 41: Happy lady and happy babies!
45th day: After each meal, Georgia’s infants cuddle, “nurse,” and are cleaned with her. Mother and infants enjoy this time of day tremendously. She will begin chemotherapy several days after developing a visible tumor on her female organs. This type of malignancy is highly curable, and we anticipate that Georgia will recover completely.
Once Georgia begins treatment, her children will be unable to spend time with her until it is complete. Graffiti, being the smallest, has not yet mastered the ability to leap out of the pool. Georgia took a ride to her adoptive residence on day 50.
Her new name is Milo, and she will undergo cancer treatment and recuperation alongside her new father, @torbazoob14. Day 52: Georgia/Milo and I were delighted to see each other at her first chemotherapy session. Day 70: Behold who just completed her final chemotherapy treatment! Georgia/Milo and she is in excellent spirits! This courageous little woman had to fend for herself on the streets, lost all of her puppies, and endured chemotherapy! Day 85: Georgia’s (Milo) infants are so large now! They weigh approximately 2.5 ounces and believe they are in charge.
Although I am a dog lover at heart, I will mourn these little rascals. Day 95: The long-awaited reunion between Georgia/Milo and Gumball/Toby, her newborn kitten, has finally arrived. We all desired a happy ending for this narrative. We envisioned Milo and Toby seeing each other and rushing to greet each other and play joyfully.
Well, animal behavior is extremely truthful, and Milo was, in fact, somewhat terrified of Toby. This is a genuine and joyful ending for these two. I am overjoyed for Milo and will never forget her and her three puppies.
