The astute receptionist judged it was time to step in when a wealthy hotel visitor made fun of Rosalie in front of his younger girlfriend. Rosalie set up a spectacular showdown when justice was served and everyone was astonished by her revelation of his shocking secret.
The skinny is as follows: My name is Rosalie, I work as a receptionist at a rather upscale hotel, and I am thirty years old. It’s not always glamorous; sometimes you run into these haughty fools who believe they can do everything they want. However, I love my work and am really good at it.
As usual, one Tuesday night started out. I was getting ready for my night shift, ready for the usual mix of patrons. I had no idea that I was about to have a confrontation with one of my least favorite customers to date. He was going to learn that it was a bad idea to cross me.
I said, “Good evening, Mr. Johnson,” to a well-known visitor. “Your key is right here. Have fun while you’re here.
Then I saw who was next in line: a middle-aged man called Robert (he looked around 45), accompanied by a much younger woman, Tiffany (she looked about 20).
Now was the moment to go into business mode. I put on a little grin and said hello to them as usual.
“Good evening, gentleman… hey, ma’am! How may I assist you right now? I asked in a kind manner, but the man seemed serious. Then he frowned and regarded me like I was trash on the side of the road.
Robert grinned. “For once, try doing your job right.”
I was taken aback by his remarks, and my colleague gave me a startled look. However, this was not our first contact with the so-called “nasty” people in this place who think that their wealth gives them the right to govern the world.
It appeared that tonight might be one of those occasions. I gave him a courteous grin. Yes, sir. Let us register you.
“Just another workday! “I can handle this,” I said to myself. I had no notion that I was going to be shown to be correct in the most unexpected way.
Tiffany muttered something to him as she leaned in to set up the register. They both chuckled, obviously teasing me.
This Tiffany woman was all luxury clothes, big lips, and, to be honest, not that stylish. Her look was blatantly fake.
I wanted to laugh, but I kept my cool. I did, however, chuckle a little before regaining my calm. Tiffany had the appearance of a reality TV star.
I reviewed their information after taking their IDs. Robert shot me an arrogant look as I gave their cards back.
His eyes narrowed as he leaned in closer. “Miss, did you find anything funny here?”
I gave a headshake. “No, ma’am. Just thinking back on a funny anecdote.
“A funny story about how you couldn’t land a real job?” he yelled. or about how no self-respecting man would ever wed someone LIKE YOU, therefore you married a loser?
That was rather severe. My coworker and I looked at each other. I tightened my hands under the counter, trying not to show my anger or embarrassment.
I responded, “Sir, let’s get you checked in,” attempting to keep my composure because I had dealt with unkind visitors in the past. However, these two were really offensive.
Robert snorted and cast a contemptuous glance at me. Whatever. Please move quickly. It’s not my entire night.
I forced myself to remain calm by biting my tongue. “Please, go right now.”
“Girl, even sloths are faster. Accelerate. else get ready to lose your job! Robert snarled. I was becoming angrier.
“Remain cool, Rosalie. Remain composed. Keep him from getting to you. I told myself that again.
I was about to give up when Tiffany pulled out her phone and began filming me while giggling like it was a very funny prank. She laughed and said, “Hey, wave to the camera!” This is so funny. Darling, see her expression. It is the color of a ripe, rotting tomato!
I feigned a grin as I gave them their room key, my head already full of plans for retaliation. My coworker gave me a firm arm grip and told me to be calm. I secretly vowed that their laughing would pass quickly.
I mumbled, “You have no idea who you’re dealing with,” as Robert and Tiffany left. It’s time to demonstrate my abilities to you.
I raised an eyebrow as I turned to face my colleague. “Have you noticed that? These conceited individuals believe they can make fun of someone and get away with it. It’s time to move.
Then it dawned on me—Robert had a wedding ring on. He was twenty years older than Tiffany. Success! I promptly confirmed their registration information. Naturally, Tiffany wasn’t his spouse. They had different last names.
I turned on my laptop and began looking. After a few clicks, I found Robert’s social media account. And there she was, his wife Laura. Perfect!
I quickly messaged Laura to inquire about her husband’s whereabouts. In response, she said that he was meant to be traveling for work. Really? Oh my god? I emailed him again, implying that he was, in fact, staying at our hotel with a young lady.
Her response arrived very immediately. Laura was enraged. The strategy was moving forward now. I nearly thought I saw her lose it.
She demanded to know how I obtained this information when she contacted the reception a little while later. I told her who I was and assured her that her husband was staying here in an opulent and expensive suite.
Laura, visibly shocked and upset, expressed her want to face Robert face-to-face. “I appreciate you educating me,” she said. “First thing in the morning, I’ll be there.”
I hung up and went back to my work, feeling a mixture of shame and eagerness. “Tomorrow is going to be explosive,” I muttered.
Laura raced in, and I waited in the lobby the next morning. I went up to her right away after recognizing her from her profile photo and gave her an extra key to Robert’s room.
“Do they remain inside?” With blazing eyes, she questioned.
I smiled a little guilty. “Well, they haven’t left the room all night or morning, so they’re definitely still in there!”
Laura’s teeth were squeezed so firmly I feared they would break. I gestured upstairs to her as she took the key and asked for directions.
She raced to the suite, and I followed her, excitement pounding in my chest. Laura stormed into the room, seeing Tiffany and Robert in a precarious position and wearing very little. Their stunned expressions were simply unforgettable.
Laura didn’t take long to get started. She started scolding Robert, pointing out his dishonesty and adultery. She pointed to me and said, “I know everything, thanks to the kind receptionist!”
She cried out, “Robert, you lied to me!” “You said you were traveling for business, but look at this seductress you are with!”
With haste, Robert pulled on a sweater and stammered out, “Laura, darling, it’s not what it seems!”
Trying to jump in, Tiffany said, “Who are you calling a seductress?”
Laura turned to face her, fire in her eyes. “You! You are only a wrecker of homes.
Laura disclosed to Robert during their tense conversation that he had no actual work and no money of his own, and that he was financially reliant on her affluent parents. I couldn’t help but experience a surge of fulfillment. The real scam was the individual who MOCKED my job.
I enjoyed seeing all of this chaos happen. Laura attacked Robert verbally, and Tiffany looked absolutely confused. I pulled out my phone and started to record, catching every second of Robert’s humiliation.
Then, with a smile, I entered the room. Hey, do you still remember me? Now how about you wave at the camera?
They had epic facial expressions. Tiffany looked ashamed, Robert was enraged, and Laura looked both proud and devastated. It was fantastic to receive the ultimate punishment.
Laura thanked me profusely for my help and promised to provide her attorney with proof of Robert’s dishonesty before leaving. Although I had some sympathy for her, I knew it was essential.
Clearly embarrassed, Robert and Tiffany checked out right away. As I watched them go, I had the impression that justice had been done. Laura thanked me and told me she had started the divorce process in a message she sent me a few days later.
Thinking back on what had happened, a smile crept across my face. I had not only defended my own interests, but I had also assisted a gullible lady in learning the truth about the man she had completely trusted and thought she cared about.
Some people treat everyone as though they are beneath them and think they are in charge of the world. Let me just say that those people generally get to taste a lot of karma, and I was the one who served it cold this time.
