The present wife of her ex-husband has two daughters from a prior marriage. Financially speaking, they lead a respectable life, but the OP and her daughter lead a more comfortable lifestyle.
This doesn’t seem to settle well with them, especially the current wife, Amanda. There were a few instances that OP let slide since her daughter told her that she didn’t mind what they were doing, like taking her clothes when she stayed at their house so Amanda can give them to her daughters.
But the thing that made OP and her daughter really upset was when Amanda insisted to pick up her daughter and when she went to their house, they told her that she was currently being punished. They also told her that it was unfair that Amanda’s daughters were attending a public school while OP’s daughter goes to a private one.
So they told her, rather than asked, that they would pull her out and have her attend the public school instead. OP didn’t take it their decisions well and is now looking into legal matters to get full custody of her daughter.
