A mother’s affection for her child transcends words. Even if her children are designers, a mother never passes up the chance to gift them whatever she thinks will make them seem beautiful.
Who doesn’t desire a closet that includes at least one designer? However, we also acknowledge that not everyone can afford it, and that’s okay.
However, some people believe they have a right to your money and the goods you purchase simply because they are your relatives. In today’s story, the Redditor had to deal with this and share her burdens with the AITA community.
The OP is married to a sweet husband who comes from an “abnormally wealthy family,” and they both have a two-week-old daughter together. When the OP was pregnant with her first child, her husband handed her his card to get whatever she needed for herself and the baby.
So the OP went on a shopping spree and bought a lot of designer clothes for her baby. But then, when her sister saw her baby wearing a designer, she got furious, saying “it was so wasteful to buy a baby designer” and that the OP should have bought her a designer instead or given her the money.
This didn’t go down well with the OP and… okay, I’ll stop right here and let you read the story in full.
And we have the headline…
We have a daughter
My husband gave me his card
My sister’s standish behavior
I was in need of a nap
