A few days ago, Lua, an eleven-month-old Golden Retriever, was promoted to big sister. Davi, her guardian’s son, was born beautiful and healthy.

Do you think the pet was jealous of her little brother? Of course not!

Since meeting him after his birth, Lua has been in love with Davi. The day she met the baby couldn’t have been more special!

Even before the owner got out of the car with her son, Lua was already at the door of the vehicle, eager to see her little brother’s face.

And when she saw it… well, let’s not even say it! She was so excited. She couldn’t stop wagging her tail with joy, wanting to smell it and get close at all costs. It was so adorable!

According to Golden Retriever Online , this is a very friendly and gentle breed, known for its even-tempered and tolerant demeanor, making them great companions for children.

They have a natural patience with little ones, enjoy playing and interacting, and often become protectors of the children in the house.

I think that’s why David loves being near the Moon!

He loves his little dog so much that he prefers the little golden retriever’s lap to his mother’s. Can you believe it?!

And this was proven in a video shared on the pet’s Instagram profile on March 12, which has more than 203 thousand followers.

Lua is lying on the couch, while Davi is lying with his body pressed against her. He’s calm and not crying at all.

But the moment Mommy takes him from the comfort of his sister’s lap, he grumbles, requiring Mommy to quickly place him next to Lua to calm him down.

With the caption “And my brother who prefers my lap to mommy’s,” the post has already accumulated more than 526 thousand views and thousands of comments.

“It’s mom… I found a lap as good as yours,” commented one internet user.

“I love children with dogs. It’s so much love,” declared another.

“My God!!! They are soulmates!!! I’m in love,” said a third.

So much love!

Without a doubt, Lua was trained from the time David was in his mother’s womb to love and respect him. And when Davi is older, he will also receive the education to care for and love Lua.

Introducing a Baby to a Golden Retriever

When introducing a Golden Retriever to a baby, it’s crucial to proceed with care and attention. Here are some alternative suggestions:

  • Start with smell: Allow your dog to gently sniff your baby’s clothes or blankets to familiarize himself with their scent.
  • Keep the dog on a leash: During the first meeting, it is prudent to keep the dog on a leash for better control of the situation and to ensure the baby’s safety.
  • Stay calm: Demonstrate confidence and calm to avoid transmitting nervousness to the dog.
  • Introduce the baby to the dog: Let the dog gently sniff the baby while on the leash and praise his calm and gentle behavior.
  • Constant supervision: Never leave your dog alone with your baby, even if you completely trust him, as he may become curious or frightened by the baby’s movements.
